Jason McElwain : The Autistic Teen of Basketball

A year to the day after he stunned everyone by coming off the bench to score 20 points in four minutes in a high-school basketball game, autistic teen-ager Jason McElwain says he hopes his story is still inspiring others to set goals and achieve their dreams.

"What more can you want?" the 18-year-old Rochester, N.Y.-area boy said in an interview on TODAY Thursday morning, as he recounted his year in the spotlight, which included a meeting with President Bush. "My life has changed from going to just an ordinary kid with autism to someone who is a hero."

Jason, then 17, was thrust into the spotlight when Greece Athena High School basketball coach Jim Johnson decided to send him onto the floor for a little play in the team's final regular season game against Spencerport on Feb. 16, 2006. Jason had never made the team but stayed on as team manager, and Coach Johnson thought a little playing time would be a fitting show of gratitude for his dedication.

Jason set the crowd into a frenzy when, after missing his first shot, he sank six three-pointers and a jump shot in the final four minutes. His achievement, captured on videotape, made him a national sensation.
Jason, known as "J-Mac" to friends in his upstate New York suburb, made appearances at the ESPY awards, the NCAA Final Four and the NBA finals. In addition to the president, he got to meet Oprah Winfrey, Peyton Manning and Jessica Simpson.
Letters still pour in from all over the world. People with autism write to thank Jason for serving as a beacon of hope for others.

"Can you look back at all and tell me what is has been like, Jason, to live in your shoes?" TODAY's Matt Lauer asked.
"It's been fun and amazing," said Jason.

Still playing basketball
In addition to his part-time job at a supermarket, Jason still plays in nightly pickup games at the "Y," but admits he has never been able to repeat the feat that got his name in newspapers and magazines from coast to coast.

"When you play with your buddies, do they kind of expect you to make every single shot?" Lauer asked.
"The expectations are really high, but not exactly," Jason said, laughing.

His parents, David and Debbie McElwain, who appeared on TODAY with Jason and his older brother Josh, said they still can't believe all of the attention Jason's performance has received.
"After that game when he scored 20 points, I thought, 'Gee, his name might be in the paper,' " David McElwain said.

Now there are even discussions about turning his life story into a book and movie. (Jason said that he thought Matthew McConaughey should portray him on film.)
'On a roll'

Debbie McElwain admitted that Jason sometimes can get "cocky" about his fame, but she and Josh bring him back down to Earth. She said she hopes Jason's story will encourage other families with autistic children to identify the symptoms early and get treatments designed to foster communication skills before it is too late.
"I never thought he would come this far," Debbie McElwain said of her son's disability, which was diagnosed when he was 2 1/2. "When your child is diagnosed with severe autism, you just want him to speak. Jason had most of the autistic symptoms of severe autism. It was just one hurdle after the next ... You just want him to say one word, because wants an autistic child says the first word, you are on a roll."

Jason's been on a roll ever since the big game, which his team won.

"I just hope more people are aware of autism, the disease autism," he said, "and that people know more about it and get the treatment they need with their children, early in life like my loving mother [did]."
Marked primarily by impaired social interaction and diminished communication skills, autism is a developmental disability believed to be caused by both genetic and environmental factors. Last week, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control issued a report estimating that one in 150 children born in this country are autistic — much more prevalent than previously thought.

Jessica Cox : The Woman Pilot Without Arms

Filipino-American Jessica Cox is an amazing achiever who is touching many lives with her moving story of strength, courage, and sheer determination.
Born without arms, Jessica flies airplanes, drives cars, plays the piano, and lives a normal life using her feet as others use their hands.

The second daughter of a retired American music teacher and a Filipina nurse from Samar province, Jessica holds the distinction of being the first woman pilot in aviation history to fly with her feet.
“It wasn’t easy,” Jessica, 25, said of her flying lessons. “I was a little nervous at first, but then I remembered my favorite words of wisdom: Never let fear get in the way of your opportunity.”
The light plane she flies is called an Ercoupe (pronounced air-coupe) and it is one of the few airplanes to be made and certified without pedals. Without rudder pedals Jessica is free to use her feet as hands. It took her three years instead of the usual six months to complete her lightweight aircraft license. She had three flying instructors and she logged 89 hours of flying to get the license.

Supportive family
The second of three siblings, Jessica said her parents and her older brother Jason and younger sister Jackie have always been supportive of her. Her father, William Cox, is a retired music teacher; her mother, the former Inez Macabare, of Bobon, Samar is a nurse.
Jessica said she visited the Philippines in 2004 and she is planning to visit again with her parents this year to meet her mom’s folks and her brother Jason, who is studying at the Ateneo De Manila University.
“I’m really excited to be back for this coming visit,” said Jessica, who takes pride in her Filipino heritage.
According to her mom, Jessica was an active child growing up, who participated in many activities like swimming, gymnastics, and tap dancing.
Jessica was introduced to Tae Kwon-Do by her parents when she was ten to further develop her self-confidence.

At the age of 14, she earned her first black belt at the International Tae Kwon-Do Federation. In college, she resumed her interest in martial arts, joined the American Tae Kwon-Do Association and secured a second black belt. She is the first woman without arms to achieve that feat in the United States.

Media celebrity

Her many achievements did not go unnoticed in the American media. She has been featured in the popular afternoon program “Ellen” hosted by Ellen Degeneres, “Inside Edition,” and TV networks like CNN and Fox News.
Videos showing her flying a plane, demonstrating martial arts stunts and replays of her television and public speaking appearances are proliferating in YouTube and the Internet. Many of the videos and inspiring emails are posted by Filipinos who are proud of her extraordinary accomplishments.

A psychology graduate from the University of Arizona, Jessica is pursuing a career as an international motivational speaker.
Articulate and a gifted speaker, Jessica is changing people’s lives by the inspiration she brings with her key messages of creativity, persistence, and fearlessness. Recognized internationally as a motivational speaker, she has spoken before various groups such as students, teachers, and corporate audiences.
Jessica’s speeches are inspiring as they are humorous. Her keen sense of humor comes to the fore as she relates her trials and triumphs. And her critical approach and insights dealing with life’s difficulties provide her listeners an alternative view of coping with their own challenges.

Overcoming shyness

She recalls how she overcame shyness as a little girl when she was to dance before an audience for the first time as part of her dance school where she took dancing lessons.
“I used to feel shy about being different. I remember the first time I was on stage. It was my very first at our dance studio presentation,” Jessica said. “I was so scared that I asked my dance teacher I wanted to be put me in the back row. She told me there was no back row.”
To her great relief, she added, “All I heard was cheering and clapping when the dance number was done. I couldn’t wait to go out for a second time and perform. I danced for 12 years after that.”
Nurtured by a loving family and convinced that a positive outlook has a greater impact on life than physical constraints, Jessica chose to pursue a degree in psychology at the University of Arizona.
As a student at university, the gutsy young woman took notes with her feet. She typed out her papers at 20 words per minute, with a regular computer keyboard on the floor.
When first learning to drive, Jessica was encouraged to use special modifications in her car. But even after her car was modified, she decided to remove them and drive without the changes. She holds an unrestricted driver's license.
The doctors were baffled why Jessica was born without arms. Sonograms and other prenatal tests did not reveal this rare congenital condition, according to her website. From infancy her feet became her hands. Like all children, she went through the various stages of development. She learned to feed herself and write with her feet.

Lessons from flying
According to Jessica, learning to fly an airplane has had a “significant impact” on her life.
“I have never known the true meaning of determination and persistence until I started my flight training,” she said. “Due to airplane logistics, it not only took me three years to do what some people could accomplish in six months but it also required four Ercoupes, three certified flight instructors, 89 hours of flight training in three different states (Florida, California, and Arizona) to become the first person to be certified to fly an airplane with only my feet.”

Defining creativity as a person’s ingenious way of dealing with a problem, Jessica said:
“Creativity is something I use every time I step into the airplane. The first challenge of flight training was learning how to buckle my seatbelt. Through creativity and recognizing there is more than one way to do something, I figured it would be best to buckle the seatbelt first before sitting down, then loosen the straps, stand on the seat and slip into the seatbelt. Once seated, I used my right foot to pull the seatbelt tight, securing it around my hips.”

Jessica said she is thankful to God for allowing her to do the things she has accomplished.
“It feels great being told by people that my life experiences have somehow inspired them. It’s really cool, and it motivates me to keep going,” she enthused.

Book project
Her mom Inez told this writer in Filipino that Jessica is scheduled to fly to Washington DC to meet with a prospective publisher for a book Jessica is writing.
“It’s actually a work in progress,” Jessica demurred when asked what the book is about. “I’ve been working on it for sometime. Its title is ‘Disarming Prejudice.’”
According to Jessica, being different physically from other people has taught her to be strong and persistent. And in an imperfect world where many people are dealing with their own handicaps -- real or imagined -- she wants to make a difference by helping them deal with their limitations.
Said Jessica: “I want people to think, ‘Hey, if she can do so much without arms, then I can do so much more with my life.’”

Inspiring Quotes: Rocky Balboa (Rocky VI)

I was watching the last series of Rocky Balboa (Rocky VI) a few days back. What struck me was his inspiring speech to his son, who was well, "in doubt of himself to say the least"  I transcribed it,framed it and stuck it to my office. Here it is:

How To Make A Million Before You Turn 20 (being young at heart at least )

I have read and article in Forbes.com about tips on making a "Million before you turn 20" . Interesting huh read on:

Tips from five young entrepreneurs who made fortunes fast.

While their peers were out making trouble, these young achievers were making bank.
Forever in search of the secrets to entrepreneurial success, we peeked into the inspirational lives of five whiz kids who built million-dollar enterprises before the age of 20.

While four of the five were making a mint on the Internet, Fraser Doherty was doing things the old-fashioned way. In 2002, at the age of 14, Doherty started making jams from his grandmother's recipes in his parents' kitchen in Edinburgh, Scotland. Neighbors and church friends loved them. As word spread, Doherty started receiving orders faster than he could produce them at home, so he rented time at a 200-person food-processing factory several days a month.

Go With The Flow

By age 16, Doherty left school (with his parents' blessing) to work on his jams full time. In early 2007, Waitrose, a high-end supermarket in the U.K., approached Doherty, hoping to sell his Superjam products in their stores. Within months there were Superjam jars on the shelves of 184 Waitrose stores, hoisting Doherty and his business to new heights.

Doherty borrowed 5,000 pounds (about $9,000) from a bank to cover general expenses and more factory time to produce three flavors: Blueberry & Blackcurrant, Rhubarb & Ginger and Cranberry & Raspberry. Tesco (other-otc: TSCDY - news - people ) followed, adding Doherty's products to 300 stores across the U.K. In March, Superjam will launch at Tesco in Ireland.
Last year Superjam hit $750,000 in sales and is on track to double that in 2008 (about 50,000 jars a month). Based on a reasonable valuation multiple of one times revenue--jelly-maker J.M. Smucker (nyse: SJM - news - people ) trades at 1.2 times sales--Doherty's 100% stake is worth in the neighborhood of $1 million to $2 million.

Not bad for a 19-year-old. Doherty's recommendation to other young entrepreneurs: "Have an attitude of adventure, and enjoy the journey."

Double Down

Cameron Johnson truly took that perspective to heart, parlaying one hit into the next. Back in 1994, when he was just 9, Johnson launched his first business out of his home in Virginia, making invitations for his parents' holiday party. By the seasoned age of 11, Johnson had saved up several thousand dollars selling greeting cards. He called his company Cheers and Tears.

But the little guy didn't stop there. At age 12, Johnson offered his younger sister $100 for her collection of 30 Ty Beanie Babies, all the rage at that time. The young entrepreneur quickly earned 10 times that amount by selling the dolls on eBay (nasdaq: EBAY - news - people ). Smelling potential, he contacted Ty and began purchasing the dolls at wholesale with the aim of selling them on eBay and on his Cheers and Tears Web site.
In less than a year, Johnson banked $50,000--seed money for his next venture, My EZ Mail, a service that forwarded e-mails to a particular account without revealing the recipient's personal information. He hired a programmer to flesh out his idea, and within two years My EZ Mail was generating up to $3,000 per month in advertising revenue.

Be Fearless

Johnson still wasn't done. In 1997, he joined forces with two other teen entrepreneurs, Aaron Greenspan and Tom Kho, to create an online advertising company called Surfingprizes.com, which provided scrolling advertisements across the top of users' Web browsers. Those who downloaded the software received 20 cents per hour (a tiny fraction of the value to the advertiser) for the inconvenience of having ads splay across their computer screens.

The boys employed a classic pyramid strategy to spread the service. Users who managed to refer Surfingprizes.com to a new customer would nab 10% of that new person's hourly revenue.
But Johnson and company didn't just sell software--they wanted a piece of that juicy ad revenue too. Their solution: partnering with companies such as DoubleClick, L90 and Advertising.com that could sell the ads for them. Under the agreements, the middlemen would collect 30% of any ad revenue sold, while the three boys split the remaining 70%, out of which they paid those referral fees.
"I was 15 years old and receiving checks between $300,000 and $400,000 per month," says Johnson. At 19, he sold the company name and software (but not the customer database) to an undisclosed buyer. Says Johnson, "Before my high school graduation, my combined assets were worth more than $1 million."
Now just 23, and with other ventures under his belt, Johnson spends his time giving speeches and promoting a new book. "Put yourself out there," he advises. "Don't be afraid of rejection. Don't be afraid to ask anything."

Stick To A Vision

At 15, Catherine Cook and her brother Dave, 17, were flipping through their high school yearbook and came up with the idea to develop a free interactive version online. In 2005, the two convinced their older brother Geoff, a budding Web entrepreneur himself, to invest $250,000 and his time to help them launch MyYearbook.com, a social-networking site based in Skillman, N.J.
Soon after, the Cooks merged with Zenhex.com, an ad-supported site where users post a variety of homemade quizzes, more than doubling the number of eyeballs taking in their site. But when they tried to expand even further, they hit some snags. Potential investors wanted to move the company's headquarters to New York (the Cooks wanted to stay put). They also wanted to have ads appear on users' personal profile pages (the Cooks didn't).

Good thing the Cooks stuck to their vision. By 2006, MyYearbook had raised $4.1 million from the likes of U.S. Venture Partners and First Round Capital. Since then, the site has attracted such advertisers as Neutrogena, Disney (nyse: DIS - news - people ) and ABC; has grown to 3 million members worldwide; and rakes in annual sales in the "seven figures," says Catherine.

How to compete in an industry dominated by MySpace and Facebook? Mine a niche. "[Our site is] specifically for high school students, and we really listen to the suggestions of our members," says Catherine.
While the Cooks decline to discuss the value of their stake in the business, one MyYearbook investor (who agreed to speak only if unidentified) claims the Cooks' chunk is worth "well over $1 million."
Seven figures is real money to anyone, let alone a teenager. Yet despite their heady success, all of these young world-beaters seem to remain--refreshingly--kids at heart. "I'm not driving around in fancy cars," says Doherty. "I'm in it totally for the adventure."

Profits and perspective: Sounds like a recipe for even greater success in the decades to come.

After so much posts I would like to say Hi from the The Mogul News

Eversince I resigned from work, things have been bothering me lately. One is due to my health which had gone bad because of my work (and hopefully recuperating from hypertension) load and the vast number of roads "I can go through" because I am already "free" from the corporate world. I feel that I have no where to go and is pushed by my financial status to go back to my old self. However, after almost a year of not working with bosses,it made me feel unconstrained with the four corners of the corporate office. Then I stumbled upon the video "THE SECRET".

It led me to research on the topic that it provided along with other subjects that will enhance my capability to "stand on my own". Reading the "How to's" of people that had success in their hands, as well as investing on coaching cds to help me enhance my knowledge to start a new company.Well, as they say, there is no easy way to get there. Even if you read tons of books showing you to "Just do it"and programming your mind on entrainment programs,It is always you who will make the ball rolling....Now that  I started it...lets see...

Blake Ross : Founder of Mozilla

When Blake Ross was 15, he moved from Florida to California to take an internship with Netscape. This was a rather quixotic thing for a 15-year-old to do, because Netscape was on life support at the time—its Web browser was getting the stuffing beat out of it by Microsoft's Internet Explorer.

Netscape had one thing going for it: it was open source. Most software is developed exactly the way you think it is: you pay a bunch of geeks in cubicles to write it. Open-source software works differently. You release a rough draft onto the Internet, and anybody can open the hood and go to work on it—streamline it, fix bugs, suggest features, pretty up the interface, whatever. The people who write open-source software "aren't necessarily professionals," Ross says. "It gives you a breadth of experience outside of just computer geeks. It also means the people are truly dedicated because there's no payday." Open source is as much a community, even a subculture, as it is an approach to creating software.

In 2002 Ross and some colleagues decided to start up a new version of Netscape, one that would chuck all the fancy features and go for simplicity, stability and speed. They called the new browser Firefox, and it was a monster hit. When Firefox 2.0 appeared this October, it clocked 2 million downloads in the first 24 hours. Web surfers are switching to Firefox at the rate of 7 million a month.

There's something both very American and very anticapitalist about the open-source approach. It's about including everyone in the process, democratically, but it's also about giving away the product and sharing your trade secrets with the world; the more people who have access to your intellectual property the better. "I'm not in this for the money. I truly love it," Ross says. "I could never see myself sitting in a cubicle." Right now Ross, a world-weary 21, is taking time off from Stanford to work on a new project called Parakey. Parakey is top secret for now, but it will be an open-source project too. So Ross will make sure you hear about it.

Chad Meredith Hurley : Co-founder of Youtube.com

Chad Meredith Hurley was born in 1976 and is Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of the world's largest video sharing site: Youtube.com

Place of birth: Birdsboro, Pennsylvania, United States of America
Gender: Male
Places lived: Pennsylvania

He co-founded the company Youtube in February 2005 with fellow Paypal colleagues Steve Chen and Jawed Karim. Chad was born in Birdsboro Pensylvania by Don and Joann Hurley, He's three siblings, an older sister (Heather) as well as a more youthful brother (Brent). Since childhood, Chad showed interest in the arts and became interested in computers electronic media in the work of high school.Chad graduated from Twin Valley High School, Elverson in 1995, received his bachelor's degree in Fine Art at Michigan University of Pennsylvania 1999.

When he was about to graduate from college, he heard of PayPal( Chad Hurley sent his resume and received a job interview. After flying to Los angeles, he was asked to design a logo to show his skills and created what was Paypal's logo for many years.

It was in the work of his days at PayPal that he met Steve Chen and Jawed Karim,They worked together for 3 years until auctioneers eBay bought Paypal in October 2002 for $1.54 billion. Hurley recieved a Bonus, left the company and worked as a design consultant in Silicon valley for several companies, though Steve Chen stayed on another three years to help with PayPal's launch in China, all of them remained friends from then.

On October 16, 2006, Steve Chen, Chad Hurley and Jawed Karim sold YouTube to Google, Inc. for $1.65 billion. It was reported in the Wall Street Journal that Chad Hurley's share in the $1.65Billion sale of Youtube.com was $345.6M at Google's Feb. 7, 2007 closing stock cost of $470.01. He received 694,087 Google shares directly and another 41,232 shares in a trust. His other three co-founders, Steve Chen and Jawed Karim, received 625,366 shares and 137,443 shares respectively valued at $326.2M and $64.6M.

The idea for YouTube sprang up from the experience they have when at a dinner party hosted by Chen in January 2005 in San Francisco. Steve Chen and Chad Hurley where trying to send videos of the night by email to Jawed Karim who did not attend the party and denied that it ever took place but the videos were  massive for the email programs. Posting videos online was as well as a headache from there they got the idea that other people might be having the same issue. So they thought of having a site with a software that would make uploading videos feasible.

They latter got to work and the effect is what all of us now know as YouTube.com ( 10th most popular site online  a year after its launch ) they made it easy for visitors to view clips without registration, People could post anything they like in a matter of minutes, they fundamentally created a community around video uploading. By may 2005 they uploaded the preview of the site YouTube and in December same year, it was officially launched.

At first they got in to financial issue of having to pay for more Bandwidth for the thousands of visitors to the site so that it won't crash, but they were later bailed out by there former Boss Roelof Botha the former PayPal Chief Financial Officer who put them through to Sequoia Capital who agreed to fund their Idea with a $3.5 million check. Latter followed by another $8 million in April 2006.

Their marketing was at its best without spending anything on commercial at the preliminary stage but by making the easy and inspiring for the visitors to tell a mate, email links video voting and allowing videos to be simply embedded in profiles of social network site and site linking.

They struggled to keep the site walking effectively  on the financial aspect since the site was free to make use of users do not must drop their email address, they resort to selling of commercial space and their first commercial was uploaded in January 2006, elementary text including an apology from Hurley and Chen explaining they were short on funds.

The first YouTubevideo uploaded was Me at the Zoo on April 23, 2005 which shows founder Jawed Karim at San Diego Zoo (which can still be viewed on the site ). The site soon become one of the most Popular site online with Members being able to set up their channels on YouTube and can comment on videos. within a short period from startup they were getting tens of thousands videos upload a day, they seldom thought there would be such a immense acceptance. It goes on to show that when you can come up with an idea that solves a necessity and right marketing skills you have no were to go than the top when you have the
persistence to go on even when you get discouraged on your journey

Remember when the going get toughs the toughs get going.

That's among what makes them successfull entrepreneurs. By July 2006 the company announced they were recieving 100 million video views per day and over 65,000 new videos being uploaded everyday. It was a massive step for the Young entrepreneurs.

We seldom anticipated when they started this site they would have such a profound effect on popular culture or the political races, that   by unlocking this video solution and generating this global audience behind what they were doing, were  enabling so many more people to express their views, not only their talents, but to receive a message out there, and that's what  drives us.

YouTube has been awarded the Best Invention of the Year by Time Journal, the first Web-site to obtain the Entertainer of the Year by Entertainment Every week. Many of its most popular users have found success beyond YouTube. Both Chad and Steve have received several prestigious honors and acknowledgementsfrom the business and entertainment communities including: Business 2.0
50 Most Influential People, GQ's Man of the Year in 2006

A Very Expensive Digital Camera : Hasselblad H4D-60

The Hasselblad H4D-60 is probably the costliest digital camera in the world. This DSLR camera has an astonishing 60 megapixel 40 x 54 mm sensor. Aided by the Absolute Position Lock processor, Hasselblad's True Focus method allows the photographer to focus on the composition without constantly fiddling with the focus. The Kings Button iPhone is, surprisingly, a jewel-bedecked iPhone. This time, however, Aloisson had the iPhone 3G to play with—and, apparently, a bit of a bigger budget. Dennis Crowley and Naveen Selvadurai : Founders of Foursquare.com

They founded Foursquare, which has been valued at $80 million.

Their blueprint for success:
Foursquare allows users to alert their Facebook friends and Twitter followers where they are at any given time, encouraging everyone to check out cool places they've discovered. Selvadurai is a software developer and Crowley knows something about social media (he sold Dodgeball, a location-based social network, to Google in 2005). Foursquare, a combination of software and social networking, is based on a very human desire: to get out and see things and share experiences with people. Selvadurai created it simply because, as he told BusinessWeek, "I live in the East Village, which has so much rich history and so much to do, and I realized that I'd seen maybe 5 percent of it. I was looking for a way to get me and my friends to go out and do more things."

Farrah Gray : The 21st Century CEO

When Farrah Gray was 8, he used his lunchbox as a briefcase and printed up his own business cards, boldly declaring himself a "twenty-first century" CEO.At 10, he and his friends had formed a business club that raised $15,000 to finance a lemonade stand, an Internet comic book and a traveling mini-mart. By the age of 12, he had founded a venture capital firm that raised $1 million from private investors to help teen-agers start their own businesses.

Tom Anderson : Founder of Myspace.com

Thomas "Tom" Anderson (born November 8, 1970) is an American entrepreneur. He co-founded the social networking website MySpace in 2003 with Chris DeWolfe.Anderson was previously president of MySpace, and is now a strategic adviser for the company.

Because newly created MySpace accounts previously included Tom as a default "friend," he has become known as the default picture of MySpace. In 2003, working for eUniverse under the purview of Brad Greenspan, he and a few other eUniverse employees set up the first pages of MySpace, and the site grew from there. It is currently one of the most popular social networking websites in the United States (currently listing in slot no. 43 of Alexa Top 500 Global Sites).

Before MySpace, Anderson got his start at Intermix (formerly eUniverse) where he worked on a series of profitable internet ventures.eUniverse made money running spyware and spam operations, as well as selling subscription skin medication, made famous by the ubiquitous "Better than Botox?" ads. Anderson also made money channeling click-throughs with his Asian porn website TeamAsian.com, which later became an issue with Rupert Murdoch after MySpace's acquisition. It should be noted as well that Anderson was a popular hacker using the identity Lord Flathead, in the early 1980s. It wasn't until 1985 after hacking into a Chase National Bank server that the heat grew to be a bit much for Lord Flathead and he was subsequently caught, however, no record of prosecution has ever been found.

Mark Zuckerberg: Founder of Facebook

Mark Zuckerberg co-founded Facebook, which this year will bring in anywhere from $710 million to $1 billion in revenue, according to various reports. Zuckerberg's own wealth is believed to be $4 billion -- at least on paper.
Zuckerberg started Facebook from his dorm room on February 4, 2004. The Harvard student didn't intend for his page to go beyond Harvard, but he soon recognized the appeal of being able to connect with college friends. He brought aboard his roommate Dustin Moskovitz and later classmates Eduardo Saverin and Chris Hughes, as they began expanding Facebook to other universities like Stanford, Dartmouth, Columbia and Yale. Facebook took off, first with college kids then high school students, and in June 2006, many corporations were allowed to join. In September 2006, Facebook opened the floodgates to the general public. Today, the site claims more than 400 million active users worldwide.

Brain Sync: Subliminal and Brain Entrainment CDs

Do you wrestle with lack of motivation? Extra stress? Personal insecurity? A desire for more personal success and prosperity? Kelly Howell's Brain Sync audio tapes are the subject of this product review and it is my experience that her guided and non-guided meditations are helpful for all of these concerns. Using the latest in neuroscience, these audiotapes use brain-wave technology to sync your brain waves with positive attributes. Similar to the state that you would achieve through years of meditation, this brain sync technology allows you to use the power of your mind in a more effective and efficient way. If you're feeling "all tied up"it is likely that your brain waves are scrambled. Using the beta theta alpha and delta waves embedded in music and meditation is a fast and easy way to straighten out your stress, your motivation, and to achieve your desires.
The product in this review is Kelly Howell's brain sync, brain-wave therapy- "your brain and made better" which you can find on her website. I have used her tapes for eight or nine months regularly and I consider these products great for people who are involved in reinventing their lives, a doctoral program, or some other life-changing event. To get benefits out of these audiotapes takes regular use however, so if you're looking for a quick one time fix they may not be everything you need.

Product Description
From the buyer's point of view, you go to her website using this link, choose a topic that most directly answers your desires, download the programs and listen to them, probably on your MP3 player or similar device. Because her products use binaural beats you will have to use headphones as the waves need to be able to hop directly from one ear to another. This works perfectly for me, because I tend to listen to them when I am exercising, or going to bed. I listened to the non-guided, music only side (available on each package along with the guided meditation side) when I am working in my office. Some of my favorites include the three tapes I bought for exercise: Breakthrough Training, Running Meditation, and Power Training. I like the Power Training tape the best, as her guided imagery is extremely motivating. The ones I like the least work on Weight Loss and Creating Wealth, as the guided imagery seemed pretty elementary.
I think anyone who wants to enlist the power of your mind to help increase your motivation would be interested in these products. I have recommended them to friends who had trouble sleeping, or others who were facing a health issue or couldn't get past procrastinating and get on with their dreams, but I think the biggest and most direct help will be for those who are experiencing and can't stop their mind running long enough to be as creative as they know they can be.

Kelly has an easy to listen to voice and offers a program to recharge your brain, free of charge under her navigation link called free stuff. This should give you a good enough idea of whether or not you want to invest in any more of her packages. I warn you though, if you like her work as I did, you probably won't stop just one. For limited time, as of this writing in December 2010, she has a "buy three get one free" offer that may help take the sting out of your pocketbook of investing in these new tools.

Features

Her website tells us:
"Brain-wave Therapy is the simplest, most affordable way to directly tap into your higher potential and unleash your power to think, create, heal and to change. There's no training necessary, no need to travel anywhere, or spend hundreds of dollars on complicated home training programs that take up a lot of your valuable time. Just 30 minutes a day will bring outstanding results.
When your brain is in balance your ability to think, learn, create and recall is remarkably enhanced. Perception expands, memory improves and you can concentrate more easily. You sleep better and are more resilient to stress. A balanced brain brings freedom from fear, worry and even addictions that have stood in the way of you experiencing more fulfillment and joy."
I have found all of that to be true. How does that work? These audiotapes send precisely tuned sound waves on different frequencies through your brain via headphones. The science is that different vibrations or sound frequencies resonate with each other to form what your brain considers a third or binaural beat it. Your brain resonate sympathetically with this beat and, effortlessly, the sound frequencies balance the left and right hemisphere of your brain allowing creative energies, calmness, and enhanced learning.
Price is one of the best features of this audio experience and makes Kelly Howell's Brain Sync a good way to test this new science and see if it works for you. Other products make use of a greater range of brain waves, cost much more but also deliver long-term stability and greater lasting peace or creative effect. These other products also require a longer term commitment so I highly recommend that people start with Brain Sync and then decide whether and to what extent they want to spend more money and develop further. Nevertheless, everyone who buys these products should find that they agree with this testimonial from her website
Product Performance
As I said, I've used these products for a number of reasons. I rate the power tape as my favorite, because I find it both motivating and it keeps me moving. A girlfriend found that it did not work for running, because it was too slow.
I love the Secret Universal Mind of Meditation, because it reminds me of my greater connection to life. I find it soothing and comforting as did my partner and we listened to it many nights before bed. All the tapes for exercise are good, and if you exercise a lot, you'll probably want all three.
Personally, I feel great when listening to her affirmative imagery. They helped me get past rough patches where motivation was low. I find that I come back to the ones I like best over and over and have used a variety of her tapes for almost a year. That other people feel the same is evident from the testimonials on her website. They claim that Kelly's MP3 files facilitate the same state as meditation, biofeedback, and induce calmness or creativity and excitement as appropriate. One person says she can't pay her bills without it (smile).
Summary
For anyone who wants a quick easy inexpensive way to test out brain-wave technologies these products are great. However for people who may want to fall into a deeper meditative state, other more expensive products on the market might be a better fit. We learn quickly when we are young because our brains are primarily in the theta state. The more we can do as working adults to enhance these states, the more creative we can be, and the faster we can manifest our dreams.
What are you waiting for? You can only find yourself in a better mental state than you were before you started.
